ESPN chose not show what could have been the best tackle of the night in LSU’s 48-18 win over Auburn on Saturday night in Baton Rouge.

The second half was delayed as a fan ran out on the field. Louisiana’s finest was on the job, though, and took little time to track down the would-be running back. The fan started strong, but he slipped on a cut against the grain and was gang-tackled.

Perhaps he should talk to the trainer next time about the proper foot gear.

Kudos to the officers on the scene, though, for the form tackle.

Networks have made it common practice not to broadcast such interruptions, leaving fans sitting at home to leave it to the imagination as to how the fan’s run ends. As you can see, it appears to be a turnover on downs.
